Helping the Community, One Bag of Coffee at a Time

My name is Chance, I am the roaster/roasting manager here at Neptune's Fury and I would like to start by thanking you to take the time to read this post. I want to shed some light on our nonprofit roasts for those who are unfamiliar as well as for those who are simply interested in learning more. I have always found one of the most beautiful things about coffee shops is the ability to provide resources and help community. From the flyers about volunteering to the special events hosted and the ability to allow people to have a third space, these are the things that make coffee shops a trusted foundation in their community. I wanted to give people the ability to benefit their community and raise awareness about local nonprofits. Thus the nonprofit roasts began to be a more consistent item here at Neptune's. The nonprofit roasts gave people an insight to local nonprofits they were unfamiliar with and help fund.  This gave us at the shop the opportunity to work with groups such as 757 We Care, Calos Coalition, the Foodbank of Southeastern Virginia and Friends of Norfolk animal Care Center. The outstanding support from the community helps fund these nonprofits as well as raise awareness for those looking for somewhere to volunteer and help the community. We strive for full transparency with our nonprofit roasts and uphold donating $5 per bag sold to that nonprofit associated with said blend. Once again I would like to thank you for sticking around and allowing me to yap and thank you for helping people in the 757.
